Abstract
Will be presenting on various aspects of the job market each day of the summer institute and facilitating intensive job market workshops in the Fall of 2019. Many fellows do not have this kind of support at their home institution and have been unprepared to compete in a very difficult market. They are also unprepared to balance the demands of the job market with their dissertation writing, which slows time to defense and have faced mental health challenges due to feeling overwhelmed and unprepared. Our goal is for fellows to leave the institute with a semi-polished dossier to work from, and with the knowledge and resources to navigate the market and make significant progress on their dissertation.
